Formed in the fall of 1994 by six Wrangell Alaska charter tour companies, the Stikine River Jet Boat Association offers a combined 175 years of Stikine River charter experience with more than 200 years of total boating experience. Individually, each of our current members has more than 20 years boating experience with an average of 14 years operating tours on the Stikine River. The successes met by the Stikine River Jet Boat Association have been evident in customer satisfaction surveys, feedback from cruise line shore excursion managers, the increase in tour participants and newer “copy cat” operators.

Alaska Charters & Adventures was established in 1989, and is an Alaskan owned and operated local company. They have a combined 130 years of experience working in the outdoor industry. They believe guests will most enjoy Alaska scenery and wildlife in small, carefully organized groups. Their goal is to treat their guests like cherished family and friends. Alaska Charters and Adventures has a reputation for offering the finest in high quality customized outdoor adventures for very small groups. They take great pride in our attention to detail, personalized service, and unprecedented safety standards.

Zach Taylor was born and raised in Wrangell, Alaska. He has been running boats on the surrounding waters since he was 5 years old. Zach started his company Muddy Water Adventures in 2016, after being both a deckhand and a captain for almost every company in town for several years. He is a Lieutenant on the local Fire Department, and is very active in the Fire, EMS, and Search and Rescue operations that the department undertakes. While not running charters, you'll find him in his personal boat, going fishing or exploring the river on his own.

Mark has lived in Alaska for over 50 years. He is a year round resident who has been professionally guiding visitors in the Wrangell area since 1987. He's spent his entire life enjoying the Alaskan outdoors with his family and friends. In business for over 30 years, he has safely guided thousands of people into the wilderness, on the ocean, and up remote rivers. This is truly a testament to his ability to provide world class outings in remote places while still providing customers the BEST in regards to outdoor experiences, safety & recreation.

Located in Wrangell, Alaska, Summit Charters is owned and operated by Captain John W. Taylor, a resident of Alaska since 1984 with over 30 years of experience operating jet boats on the Stikine River. Summit Charters takes great pride in offering our visitors a grand experience in one of the world’s last wild, natural places on earth, the Tongass National Forest. In our safe and comfortable vessel we offer the Alaska traveler customized sightseeing charters, and water taxi services.

Alaska Waters is a family owned business, established in 1992.  We are on our third generation of family guides.  Brooke, James and their dad, Jim Leslie, all work for the company in various roles.  Our love for the outdoors and all things Wrangell shows in everything we do.  James and Brooke have worked for the company as guides since they were very young.  Jim has been working in the outdoors since his youth as well.  Jim carried both of his kids on his shoulders to see the bears of AnAn in  the early days.  Both Brooke and James have been guiding and managing bears at AnAn since their youth.  James is an accomplished jet boat captain and guide and Brooke runs our land tours with an emphasis on her Tlingit ancestry.
